Family Issues
Family breakdown can be an extremely difficult and an emotional period in a person's life. The aim of our Family Department is therefore to provide a friendly and efficient service to our clients. We are sympathetic and caring in our approach to all family matters. We take care to provide the understanding and sensitive approach essential to help steer you through what can be an immensely stressful and unsettling time.
Our Family Team are members of Resolution, an organisation of specialist family lawyers committed to a constructive approach to the practice of family law.
Our commitment to the Resolution Code of Practice has resulted in an overwhelming majority of cases settling by agreement, thereby avoiding the need to attend Court or even attend a final hearing. We maintain an excellent reputation for being cost effective and providing high-quality family work.
These are examples of some of the areas of work in which we practice:
- Divorce
- Financial relief
- Pre-Nuptial Agreements
- Cohabitation Agreements
- Separation
- Relationship breakdown between parties who are not married
- Children matters to include Parental Responsibility, Residence (commonly called 'custody'), Contact (commonly called 'access'), Prohibited Steps Order and/or Specific Issue Order
- Adoption
- Domestic violence (no legal aid)
The Family Department are here to assist you with all areas of family concerns or guide you in the right direction whether through mediation or solicitors negotiations.
Contact Patricia Hogg
...or call us now on 020 8669 5145 and we will arrange an immediate meeting with Patricia or another experienced member of our Family Issues team.
We offer a fixed fee consultation which may last from half an hour to an hour providing initial advice and allowing you time to digest the information provided. We will not push you into making any decision and believe that you should have a chance to think about whether solicitors intervention is the way forward.
We have highlighted a few of the most important areas covered by the department. If, however, you are not certain whether your problem relates to family then may we suggest that you contact a member of the Family Department who will be more than happy to speak with you and guide you in the right direction.
